Wood Portrait

2017. Oil painted onto a log of wood with a palette knife. The piece reflects the youth of my brother through the grains of wood appearing around his head. 32 by 28 cms.

Slate brother

2017. Oil paint applied to 3 pieces of slate with a palette knife. The image is of my brother, and using the slate from the roof of the house that we grew up together in. 61 by 36 cms.

Vintage Brother

2017. Oil applied with palette knives on old wooden scaffold boards. Painting on an old surface creates depth and meaning to the portrait. 44 by 95 cms.
